What does the content warning mean?
Every post has the ability to have a “content warning” on it. This indication warns the reader to proceed with caution as the post may contain sensitive material. As a PL team, we advise you to check the tags on your every post before you read them and be cognizant of your own limits. Stay safe & be kind to yourself.
How is content filtered?
The PL team comprises of a moderating group who come from all different backgrounds, ethnicities, and walks of life. It is our role as a group to read all content that comes on the PL, ensure the safety of the creator & viewers, and remove any and all forms of hate speech (sexism, racism, homophobia, etc.) that come across on the site. If we flag anything as inappropriate or hateful, a message will be sent back to the author with the potential ability for them to submit it back to us. With that said, please be mindful of all. We encourage vulnerability and opinions, but always be conscious of what you chose to share.
How do I report inappropriate content I see?
If there is every a post that you believe inappropriate or hateful that passed the moderation team, immediately send us a message. To do that, click here.

How does the like button work?
Unfortunately, in order to minimize hate speech at all costs, we do not have the feature for you to do this for yourself as of now. However, you still have full range to change anything you desire by sending us a message with what exactly you want replaced and to what you want it replaced to. Example: “Hello! I would like to change my bio to, “Hi my name is Sam, and I am interested in the foster care dilemma and student mental health! I am always here for a conversation about either :)”. How to request tags?
We want this to be a place where everyone feels safe and welcome in. If you ever have any suggestions, including different tags, to do just this, please please suggest them. We want to hear any and everything!
Behind the scenes
You may have noticed that there IS a like button. However, as a PL team, it was important for us that only the content creator could see how many likes their post got. This reduces the competitiveness of “comparing culture” which is so rampant on other platforms. This means that, as a content creator, you will be able to view however many likes you individually got but no one else.
